The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) is an international professional association comprising individuals and organizations in the field of metrology, with a focus on portable metrology. It was founded in 1984.
Quality Digest, is an industry publication covering a wide variety of topics on quality, including metrology. It was founded in 1984.
In 2005 Quality Digest became the primary media partner of the CMS, and has remained so to this day.
The topic of training had always been a key part of what the CMS offered during its annual conference, and a desire to expand it had been a topic of ongoing discussion. One day in 2018, an idea was born….

This website, and all of its content, is the result of that idea. The members of CMS provide the technical expertise, and Quality Digest provides the instructional design, video production, and web services. We hope it provides a pathway to new skills and knowledge, for those new to metrology, as well as well-seasoned and experienced operators, technicians, and engineers. 
Our studio equipment includes the latest in video technology, from live broadcast to green screen production to CGI animation.
